Steve Rennie, manager da banda, pronunciou-se novamente sobre o novo alum que está a ser preparado plos Incubus e aqui fica a mensagem deixada por ele:
"To be perfectly honest I've heard only one song out of the dozen or so the guys have come up with to date. I've purposely stayed away for fear that I might be tempted to prematurely indulge in needless predictions, critiques, judgements etc. Like yourselves, I know that these guys have not yet written the Incubus record for the ages. But I know they have it in them and I know that is the record they want to make at this point in their careers. What it will sound like God only knows.
For me, the perfect Incubus records will have 'hit' songs like all the greatest records of all time. But it will also have character, and balls, and emotion as well. The notion of 'hits' does not exclude those elements in my mind.
The perfect Incubus record will be one that you fans will be replaying your lives with 20 years from now. It will be the record Incubus could only make after having had some hits and misses and asking what it all means. If you are a real musician you want to make records that connect and stand the test of time. The truly great bands (and there are very few of them) have all made a seminal record or two. Like you, I believe that day is coming for our friends in Incubus and I'm very happy to see that you folks are being as patient as I'm trying to be.
I can't wait to see what they come up with!
